包拯，字希仁，公元999年出生于合肥市肥東包村，1062年去世于河南開封，享年63歲。第二年八月，葬于合肥市大興集。包拯被追封為禮部尚書，謚號“孝肅”，人稱包公。
包公園占地面積30公頃，總體格局為開放式，現為國家級4A景區，同時也是合肥的愛國教育基地。包公園主要由包公祠、包公墓、清風閣及浮莊等幾個景點組成。
下面就請大家跟隨我的腳步一起去游覽第一個景點——包公祠。包公祠是祭祀包拯的專祠，全稱為“包孝肅公祠”。孝肅二字是宋仁宗在包拯死后賜給他的謚號。包拯一生嚴于律己，為官清廉，所以宋仁宗用孝肅二字評價包拯的一生，賜給他這個謚號。各位游客，大家可以看到包祠給人一種莊嚴、肅穆、古樸的感覺，而今天我們所看見的這個祠堂是建于光緒年間，由李鴻章籌資所建，所以在合肥流傳著這樣一句話：包家祠堂李家修。
包公祠正殿為五開間，正中端坐著一座巨大的包公金色塑像，像高約八尺，塑像兩邊分別是王朝、馬漢、張龍趙虎四大護衛。大家在抬頭看，上方正中懸掛的五方匾額上刻著“色正芒寒”四個大字。這是由李鴻章的哥哥李翰章所題。包公塑像的右側墻壁上，鑲嵌著一塊質地黑亮的石頭，上面刻著“宋包孝肅公遺像”。石刻上的畫像據說是包拯的真容。因為包拯身材矮小，上朝時常常被人遮住，宋仁宗讓他站在前面，但是包拯不愿意出風頭，因此，宋仁宗賜給包拯一頂特制的烏紗帽。帽翅要比別的官員長三寸，這樣宋仁宗就能知道包拯有沒有來上朝了，并下令：凡碰包拯帽翅者殺無赦。這個小故事從側面可以體現出包拯在當時的地位有多高了。
各位游客，請注意這邊。這就是傳說中的三口鍘刀了。分別是龍頭鍘、虎頭鍘和狗頭鍘。據說當年包拯執法嚴明，就制作了這三口鍘刀。龍頭鍘專鍘皇親貴族，這就是所謂的“王子犯法與民同罪”;虎頭鍘專鍘貪官污吏;狗頭鍘專鍘劣紳惡霸。三口鍘刀邊上還豎有李鴻章親筆撰寫的《重修包孝肅公祠記》的碑文。
